Pink, Lace and Pearls

In August we were invited to the Village of Brent Knoll, Somerset, to work with Jon and VClaire to create a pink pearls and lace themed wedding, in yurts in the garden of Ivy Clad Hall in the village. We were pleased to work with Kismet Photography who have provided some lovely images of our decorations on the day. We look forward to getting the full suite of images and hope to be published in a magazine before the spring.

Enchanted Fairy Tale wedding style shoot

After stumbling upon the stunning Coed Hills Rural Art Space I designed an atmospheric fairytale style board based around wild looking flowers and heritage textures, resulting in this rich pallet of colours and these wild photographs. With huge thanks to Jake Morley Photography. The fresh foliage picture frame ceremony backdrop made a stunning centre piece.
We were happy to release this shoot in the Nov 14 edition of 'The Ultimate Wedding Magazine'.

Jewel and fusion inspired wedding style shoot

In association with Kismet Photography this shoot was staged at their very own Longford Barn. This shoot enabled us to experiment with some wild ideas and work with some fantastic suppliers, it was featured on 'Style Unveiled' in October 2014.

We decided to shoot this imaginative theme as we were keen to escape from the confines of a traditional white wedding and do something really different. It was initially inspired by my Golden Pheasant mood board – the bird has glorious feathers and is Chinese in origin.
Weddings always appear to follow fashion and interiors, we were keen to explore growing trends towards glitter / sequins and bold rich tones and fabrics. Velvets are coming back in this season and the trend for colour in gowns and flowers is growing, people are becoming braver. It also provides a total contrast from the rustic barn venue, giving it a warmth it is missing. The gold sequin drapes reflected the light from the candles and uplighters to give a stunning magical effect.
We contacted Occasions florist as we wanted to dress the entire venue to help Kismet promote there space, and to look at how it could be used for an intimate wedding. Lesley often works in silks as well as fresh flowers, she brought along all her flowers to the venue so she could see the dressing before creating her pieces. Everything was done on site.
The theme was circulated around the contributors using Pinterest, a board that we could add to as our look developed, so the cake, hair and make-up were developed by sharing pins.
The sequinned dress made a huge statement, so the hair and accessories were kept Hollywood glamourous, with an eastern twist. Using a simple Ottoman Hands gemstone necklace as a hair ornament, with matching earrings. The Labradorite stone caught the colour of the sequins perfectly.
